With an eclectic range of creative skills and interests, it’s hard to pigeon-hole Anya into any one discipline. She works in many mediums, and has created commissioned pieces such as painted furniture and garden gates, and sculptures made from woven tree branches. With a deep love and appreciation of nature, her creations and environments usually have an organic, rustic sensibility, with lots of attention paid to pattern, texture, and color. Her diverse background includes home staging, picture framing, graphic design, and retail furniture sales. She has worked for several talented interior designers in the bay area including Stacey Lapuk, Robert Holgate, Carole Harkins, and Kimberly Rosenberg, and frequently collaborates with friend and landscape designer Tiphani Palmer. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Art from Humboldt State University in 1992, and a certificate in Interior Decorating from Philadelphia College in 1998.
Anya lives in San Rafael with terriers Olive and Chloe, and her husband Michael, the owner of Mojotown.com, a creative agency in Mill Valley. Her free time is spent hiking in the hills in search of the perfect branch, or digging, playing, and dreaming in her garden.
